A easy wholesome apple sauce sweetened with unrefined brown sugar to taste!
Wash and drain the apples.
Cut the apples into quarters and remove the core. Leave the peel on.
Place all the cored apple quarters into a large pan and add the water.
Heat the pan and then cook the apples with the lid on until they are soft and break when touched. This usually takes 10 to 15 minutes.
Once cooked, blend the apple chunks till you have a smooth sauce.
Add unrefined brown sugar to taste or leave the sauce plain if prefered. Enjoy!
This sauce is very easy to prepare and can be left sharp in taste or sweetened.
